How it works
The workflow we are building. Usta is the lead: tell him what you need, and his team prepares the work. Money and anything a customer sees wait for you.
Illustrated with one busy evening, from the ringing phone to one approval.
-
Hand it to Usta.
Tell him what is piling up, in plain words, the way you would tell a manager. He works from the records and availability you give him.
-
He hands each job to the right lead.
Orange answers the call and takes the reservation request. Green drafts the supplier order from your sales and stock.
-
The team prepares it. Usta checks it.
Usta checks each piece against where it came from. Reading the order, he sees the chopped onions will not last the night, so Blue sends "Cut 2 lb onions" to the prep cook's phone. Yellow drafts next week's shifts.
-
You approve from your phone.
The order, the shifts and the reservation arrive on one screen, with the prep already underway. Approve, change or say no. Nothing that spends money or reaches a customer goes out without your approval.

Nothing that spends money or reaches a customer goes out without your approval.
The team prepares. Usta checks. You decide. Usta is in development, and these are the rules it is being built around.
- Money waits for you.
- Supplier orders, payments and price changes are prepared as drafts. Nothing is paid or ordered until you say yes, even close to a cutoff.
- Customers hear from you.
- Posts, review replies and guest messages go out only after you approve them. When Orange answers a call, it takes the reservation request, and the confirmation waits for your yes.
- You see the reason.
- We are building source references into requests, so you can review the records behind them: the invoice, the count, the review.
- Yes means that one thing.
- Approve it, change it or say no. Approving one draft never approves the next.
- A record of the work.
- We are building a record of requests, approvals and actions: who asked, who prepared it, who approved it and when.
- Staff see their part.
- Staff access is being designed around each person's role and tasks, so your team gets the work meant for them, like a prep task on the cook's phone, not your finances.
Questions
What is Usta?
An AI team for independent restaurants. Usta is the lead: you tell him what you need, his team prepares the work, and you approve it from your phone.
Can I use it today?
Not yet. Usta is in development. Join the waitlist and we will write to you when we are ready for the first restaurants.
Will it post, order or pay for anything on its own?
No. Nothing that spends money or reaches a customer goes out without your approval. Preparing a draft, an order list or a schedule sends nothing.
Do I have to change my POS?
Usta is being designed around existing point-of-sale systems, through supported connections or permitted exports. Compatibility depends on your setup; we will check it before you start.
Can Usta make mistakes?
Yes. That is why nothing important goes out without your approval. We are building source checks and human review into the workflow, and these controls still need testing.
Does it replace my manager or my staff?
No. Usta prepares the work and hands tasks to the right person. Your people still decide, cook and look after guests: in the film, the prep cook cuts the onions.
Who can see my restaurant's information?
This website does not accept restaurant operating records. Staff access is being designed around each person's role. We will publish how Usta handles restaurant data before inviting outside restaurants to connect their records.
What will it cost?
We are not publishing pricing yet. Joining the waitlist is free and does not commit you to a purchase.
What do the colours mean?
Each colour is one part of the job: orange for guests, green for finance, blue for the kitchen, yellow for people, red for marketing and purple for systems. The small ones are their helpers.

Usta is in development. We will start with a small group of independent restaurants. Leave your details to hear about early access. Joining does not guarantee a place or a date.
